Tyra Hodges and Melissa Parker are owners of Tymel Promotional Solutions, a company dedicated to helping businesses and organizations grow their business, recently participated in The Eight Annual Social Venture Institute at The Hub Cira Center, Philadelphia, PA.

Social Venture Institute is the brainchild of the Social Venture Network and is the only organization of its kind to focus on the triple bottom line approach to doing business. Since its inception in 1996, SVI has offered leaders of socially responsible businesses and innovative non-profits, a national forum in which to participate in a "marketplace of ideas." SVI offers participants the unique opportunity to network with established national and regional businesses and to hear firsthand how these innovative companies are "effecting social change and making a positive impact on their community, while also making a profit."

The SVI conference was hosted by the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia at The Hub Cira Center, one of the only LEED Certified buildings in the Philadelphia area.  Tymel submitted an application and was selected as one of two case studies presented at the conference.  Tymel prepared and presented a business issue to the attendees and answered related questions from panelists and audience members.  Tymel also served on the opening panel and discussed the benefits of SBN membership and offered suggestions to new attendees.
